This visa lets retirees aged 65+ move to Latvia if they have a stable monthly pension. You need to be from a country that doesn't need a visa to visit Latvia (most developed nations). Once approved, you can live in Latvia permanently as a temporary resident, travel freely around Europe, and eventually get Latvian citizenship. What you can do: Live in Latvia long-term, travel to 26 other European countries without a visa, bring your spouse and children, work (may need separate permission), get Latvian citizenship after 10 years.
