About this Visa

This is a permanent residence visa for people who aren't from EU countries. It lets you live in Malta forever and travel freely across Europe. People with at least €500,000 in savings or investments can apply. No job requirement. You don't have to live there. Unlike most visas, you can keep it for life without actually living in Malta. You get European residency and can travel to 27 countries visa-free.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Third-country national (not EU/EEA/Swiss)
  • €500,000 in assets minimum (€150,000 liquid)
  • Clean criminal record
  • Good health with no serious/contagious diseases
  • Valid passport
  • Able to support self and dependents without social assistance
  • Spouse, children under 18, adult children 18-29 (if unmarried and financially dependent), parents/grandparents (if financially dependent) eligible as dependents

Financial Requirement

Minimum €500,000 in assets (€150,000 must be liquid cash/stocks). Verified through bank statements, investments, property valuations. You must show proof of money origin.
