About this Visa
This visa lets you study in Mauritius for your degree, diploma, or certificate. You can attend university, colleges, or vocational schools. It's designed for international students who want to study full-time or part-time at recognized institutions. You get a residence permit that lasts as long as your program. You can work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) to support yourself while studying. After graduation, you can easily transition to work permits and eventually permanent residence. Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be accepted to recognized Mauritian university or college
- English language proficiency (usually IELTS 6.0 or proof of English-medium education)

- No serious contagious diseases; negative HIV and Hepatitis B tests
- No criminal convictions for crimes with 6+ months jail sentences

Financial Requirement
Prove you have enough money for tuition and living costs. Most universities require at least MUR 150,000 (~$3,300) in bank account. Exact amount depends on university and program. Show 6 months of bank statements with official bank seal and signature.
