About this Visa
The Professional Visit Pass (PVP) is a short-term work visa for foreign professionals who work for companies outside Malaysia but need to work in Malaysia temporarily. You can work as an expert, trainer, artist, religious worker, or volunteer. Your Malaysian employer must sponsor you and register with the government first. You can work legally in Malaysia for up to 12 months while keeping your job with a foreign company. You do not need to move to Malaysia permanently. This visa allows you to travel freely in and out of Malaysia during your stay. This visa is different from other work visas because you remain employed by a foreign company while working in Malaysia. Your family cannot come with you on this visa. You cannot change employers or do freelance work while on the PVP.
