This visa lets you move to New Zealand to buy and run an established business. You invest at least NZD $1 million into a business that's already operating. Then you manage the business and can eventually become a permanent resident. This visa replaced an old program that was confusing and had high rejection rates. Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Age 55 or younger
- 3+ years business experience with 5+ employees or $1M+ annual earnings
- English IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
- Good health - pass medical examination
- No criminal record with serious convictions
- Financial credibility - prove money earned legally
- No bankruptcy in last 5 years
- Fit and proper person - no fraud, money laundering, or illegal business involvement
Financial Requirement
NZD $1 million minimum investment (or $2 million for faster processing) plus NZD $500,000 additional reserves. Total capital needed: NZD $1.5-2.5 million. Must prove funds legally earned or inherited.
