About this Visa
This visa lets your family members (spouse, children, parents) move to the Netherlands to live with you. You need to be a Dutch citizen, EU citizen, or already living legally in the Netherlands with a good residence permit. The visa is active but has a long wait—you will wait 18-30 months before they even start reviewing your application. After that, you wait 3 more months for a decision. You and your family member must prove you have enough money (at least €24,174 per year). You also need a home with enough space.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be Dutch citizen, EU citizen, or have valid residence permit lasting 12+ months
- Must earn at least €24,174 per year
- Must have adequate housing
- Family member must be 18+ years old (16-17 if married before moving)
- Family member must have valid passport
- Family member must have no criminal record
- Family member must be your spouse, registered partner, or child
- Family member must pass Dutch language and society test (exemptions for EU citizens and young children)
- Family member must get health insurance within 4 months of arrival
Financial Requirement
Minimum income €24,174 per year (~$25,200 USD). Proof needed: recent pay stubs, employment contract, bank statements. Must also have health insurance.
