About this Visa
This visa lets you live in Norway with your boyfriend or girlfriend if you've been together for 2+ years. Your partner must already be in Norway or be moving there with you. One of you needs a good job or income to support both of you. You can work, travel, and get free healthcare once approved. This visa is for couples who live together but aren't married. It works the same way as a spouse visa, but you need proof that you've shared a home for at least 2 years. You can bring kids if you have them together. This is specifically for long-term relationships (not dating). If you're already married, use the spouse visa instead.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be at least 24 years old
- Have lived together 2+ years
- Not be married to anyone else
- Have a valid passport
- No serious criminal record
- Partner must be Norwegian, Nordic, or have valid residence permit
- Partner must earn at least $41,600 per year
- Partner must have adequate housing for both
- Special exception: No 2-year requirement if expecting child together
Financial Requirement
Your partner must earn at least $41,600 per year before taxes. Special case: If your relationship is clearly genuine and voluntary, the requirement drops to $24,000 per year (no previous income needed). Your partner must show 2 years of tax returns and pay slips to prove this income.
