About this Visa

This visa lets you come to Norway to marry someone who lives there. Your partner must be a Norwegian citizen, a citizen from another Nordic country, or a permanent resident of Norway. You get 6 months to get married after you arrive. This is a temporary visa just for getting married. After you marry, you apply for a different visa to stay as a spouse. It's not for tourists or visitors—you must genuinely plan to marry. The government wants to make sure your relationship is genuine—not a fake marriage to get into the country. If your documents are incomplete or they don't believe your relationship is real, they will reject you.
