About this Visa
This visa lets you live in Norway with your spouse. Your spouse can be Norwegian, from another Nordic country (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland), or someone with a valid work or study permit in Norway. The visa is for married couples, engaged couples, or people living together for 2+ years. Once approved, you can work, study, and eventually become a permanent resident. Your children can come with you too.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be at least 24 years old
- Must be legally married OR living together 2+ years
- Must have genuine relationship (not fake marriage)
- Must have valid passport
- No serious criminal record
- Not banned from Norway or Europe
- Spouse must be Norwegian, Nordic, or have valid work/study permit
- Spouse must earn $38,800+ per year
- Spouse must have suitable housing
- Spouse cannot have received government assistance in past 12 months
Financial Requirement
Spouse must earn at least $38,800 per year before taxes. Special exception for refugees: approximately $23,500.
