About this Visa

This visa is for professional artists, musicians, and performers who have a paid job in Norway. It allows you to live and work in the country while you complete your contract. Your support staff, like sound technicians or directors, can also apply if they are essential to your show. You can stay for up to one year at a time. After that, you can renew it for one more year. However, this visa is temporary. It does not lead to permanent residence or citizenship. This permit is strict about who counts as a "professional." Street performers or buskers usually do not qualify. You must have a contract with a Norwegian employer or an organizer who pays you according to Norwegian standards.

Key Benefits

  • Live in Norway during your contract
  • Bring your spouse and children (if you earn enough)
