About this Visa
This visa is for two types of people: 1. Trainees - You are a student studying abroad, and you want to do practical training (internship) in Norway as part of your education. 2. Researchers - You have a Master's degree and want to do research at a Norwegian university or research center. Both visas let you live and work in Norway for a limited time. After you leave, they do NOT help you apply for permanent residency later.

- Currently enrolled in degree abroad (trainee only)
- In middle of studies, not starting or finished (trainee only)
- Never worked as trainee before (trainee only)
- Have real job offer (trainee only)
- Have housing in Norway
- Master's degree (researcher only)
- Have $1,410/month available (researcher only)
- Have research agreement from Norwegian university (researcher only)
Financial Requirement
Trainee: No minimum required. Must have either a job paying at least $1,410/month or a grant worth at least $1,410/month. Researcher: Must have at least $1,410/month from job income, grant, own savings, or combination.
