About this Visa
This visa lets you study at a Norwegian high school as a foreign student. You must be at least 15 years old and have admission to an approved school. The school must fit one of these types: exchange program school, IB school, sports/music academy, or you already live in another Nordic country. You can work part-time while studying and access free public education.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Must be 15 or older
- Parental consent: Required if you are 15-18
- School type: Must attend exchange program school, IB school, sports/music academy, or already live in Nordic country
- Full-time study: You must study full-time
- Good behavior: No serious crimes
- Return plan: Must show you will go home after finishing school
- Language ability: Must understand classes in English or Norwegian
Financial Requirement
You must show you have money to live on while studying. $1,502 per month or $16,520 for the full school year. You can show this money in a Norwegian bank account, school fund, student loan, or part-time job offer. Exception: If you are part of an exchange program (FRAM, AFS, Youth for Understanding, Rotary, STS), you do not need to prove money, but you must still show where you will live.
