About this Visa
This permit is for students who want to study in Norway for a short time. It is specifically for exchange programs, not full degrees. You must be accepted into a program at a Norwegian school or through an organization like Erasmus or Rotary. This visa lets you live in Norway for one or two semesters. You can study, travel, and work part-time. It does not help you get permanent residency in Norway. You must plan to leave when your exchange ends.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be admitted to an exchange program in Norway
- Must have enough money to support yourself
- Must be at least 18 years old (unless in specific high school program)
- Must intend to return home after studies
Financial Requirement
You must prove you have money to live on. For one year: $16,350. For one semester: $7,430 (Autumn) or $8,920 (Spring). Note: If you have an Erasmus+ or Fulbright grant, you do not need bank statements.
