About this Visa
This visa lets you start your own business in Norway and live there while running it. It's for people from outside Europe who want to be self-employed. You become the owner and operator of a small business registered in Norway. You can work full-time on your own business. You cannot work for other people or companies. Your family (spouse and children) can come with you. This is different from other work visas because you're the boss of your own business, not working for someone else.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 18 or older
- Have skilled qualifications: 3+ years vocational training OR bachelor's degree OR 6+ years work experience
- No serious criminal record
- Business must require your specific skills
- Must secure housing in Norway before applying
- Must have startup funds available
- Must establish sole proprietorship (not limited company)
- Cannot work for other employers
- Cannot operate business from outside Norway
- Must actively participate in business operations
Financial Requirement
Must prove business will make at least $30,000 per year before taxes. For new businesses, show budget and business plan. For existing businesses, show tax returns.
