About this Visa
This visa lets international students stay in New Zealand after they finish their studies. It allows you to work for any employer in almost any job. You gain local work experience, which can help you qualify for permanent residence later. You can only apply for this visa once. You must apply within 3 months of your student visa expiring. If you complete a PhD, you have up to 6 months to apply. The rules depend on what you studied. If you have a Bachelor's degree or higher, you can work in any job. If you have a Diploma, you can only work in a job related to your studies.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be 18 or older
- Completed a valid NZ qualification (Level 7+ preferred)
- Studied full-time in NZ for 30+ weeks
- Good health and character
- No serious criminal record
- Qualification must be on Eligible List (if Diploma holder)
Financial Requirement
NZD $5,000 plus funds for return ticket (approx. NZD $2,000)
