About this Visa
This visa lets you live and work in Panama if you have a university degree. You don't need a job offer before applying—you can find work after you arrive. It's designed for professionals in fields that Panama doesn't reserve for its own citizens (like engineering, medicine, or law are NOT allowed). The visa gives you permission to live in Panama for 2 years. After 2 years, you can apply for permanent residency. After 5 years of permanent residency, you can become a Panamanian citizen. Unlike some other Panama visas, this one is available to people from ANY country in the world. What makes this visa special: You don't need an employer to sponsor you, and you can work for any company (as long as it's not a reserved profession). You're not locked into one job.
