About this Visa
Peru's student visa lets international students study at recognized Peruvian universities and schools. You must be accepted to an institution first before you can apply. Once you have the visa, you can legally live in Peru for your studies. However, you CANNOT work or have a job—even part-time. Your only purpose is to study. This visa is different from work visas because it has no path to citizenship. Even if you stay for years, studying time doesn't count toward becoming a Peruvian citizen.
