About this Visa

This permit is for the husband or wife of a Polish citizen who wants to live in Poland. It allows you to stay in the country legally for more than three months. You get full rights to work and live like a regular resident. This permit is different from a normal work visa because it is based on your family relationship. You do not need to find a job first to get it. However, the government will check very carefully to make sure your marriage is real. Important: New rules start on January 1, 2026. You must apply online, and the fees will increase significantly.

Key Benefits

  • Work Freely: You can work any job immediately without a work permit.
  • Travel Europe: Visit other Schengen countries (like France or Germany) for up to 90 days.
  • Healthcare: Access public healthcare if your spouse insures you.
  • Permanent Stay: You can apply for Permanent Residence after 3 years of marriage.
