About this Visa
The D7 is Portugal's visa for people who have steady income without working. You don't need a job or employer. You just need to prove you earn enough money from pensions, investments, rental income, or similar sources. This visa is for non-EU foreigners who want to move to Portugal permanently. You get a residence permit that lasts 2 years and can be renewed. After 5 years living in Portugal, you can become a Portuguese citizen. Key point: You must have PASSIVE income (money that comes in without you actively working). Salary, freelance work, or self-employment don't count.
