About this Visa
The Portugal D8 Digital Nomad Visa allows you to live in Portugal while working remotely for a company or clients outside the country. It is designed for freelancers, remote workers, and digital nomads who earn a stable foreign income. This visa lets you live in Portugal long-term and travel freely within the European Schengen Area. You can bring your family with you, and after five years, you can apply for Portuguese citizenship. Unlike other visas, this one requires active income from work, not passive income from investments. You must prove you have a job or clients based outside Portugal.
