About this Visa
This visa lets your children join you in Portugal. You can bring dependent children under 18, or adult children who study full-time in Portugal. A parent or family member already living legally in Portugal must sponsor them. Your children get to live with you, work, study, and use healthcare—just like you do. Once approved, your children can live with you permanently with the same rights as you.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be under 18 with parent/guardian in Portugal OR 18+ studying full-time and financially dependent
- Valid passport required
- No serious criminal record
- Sponsor must have lived in Portugal 2+ years (exceptions: couples with children, skilled workers, Golden Visa, EU Blue Card holders)
- Sponsor must have sufficient income (€870+ per month minimum)
- Sponsor must have adequate housing for applicant
- Family relationship must be legally proven
Financial Requirement
Sponsor must earn minimum: €870 for 1 child, €1,131 for 2 children, €1,392 for 3 children (approximately $940-$1,500 USD)
