About this Visa

This visa lets your parents live with you in Portugal if you already live there legally. You must have been living in Portugal for at least 2 years before you can bring them. Your parents must depend on you financially (or be over 65). The visa gives your parents the right to work, go to school, see a doctor, and travel around Europe. It's a family reunification visa—designed to keep families together. What makes it special: Parents over 65 don't need to prove they depend on you financially. Younger parents must show they need your money to live.
