About this Visa
This visa lets young people from 10 specific countries spend 12 months in Portugal on holiday. You can work part-time, study, and travel around while you're here. It's for cultural exchange and gaining work experience—not for moving to Portugal permanently. Only 10 countries qualify: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, USA, and Uruguay. If you're from a different country, this visa isn't available to you. This visa ends after 12 months and cannot be extended. You must leave Portugal when it expires unless you apply for a different visa type.

- Health and travel insurance required
- Cannot bring family (spouse, children, dependents)
- First time using this program
- Australia: Must speak functional Portuguese
- Peru: Must have a university degree
- USA: Must be a student or recent graduate
Financial Requirement
Show €10,440 in savings for full 12 months using bank statements from last 3-6 months. If you have a return ticket booked, you may need less.
