About this Visa
This is a residence permit that lets people from outside the EU study for a PhD in Sweden. You need this permit if your studies last longer than 3 months. You can stay in Sweden while you study, work, and bring your family. Swedish doctoral programs don't charge tuition fees—you only pay the permit application fee. Financial Requirement
Must prove you can support yourself: about $1,110 per month USD. If family comes: Spouse/partner add $389/month; each child add $250/month. Can prove with job salary, scholarship, or bank statements.
