About this Visa

The Employment Pass is a work visa for skilled professionals. You work full-time for a Singapore company. It's for managers, executives, and specialists with degrees or professional skills. You can work full-time without restrictions. Your family (spouse and children under 21) can come with you. You can leave and return to Singapore freely. After 2+ years, you can apply to stay permanently. Unlike other Singapore work visas, you don't need an employer to buy you health insurance. You control your own insurance. It's the most flexible visa for foreign professionals.

  • Job offer from registered Singapore company
  • Minimum salary S$5,600 (general) or S$6,200 (finance)
  • University degree, professional qualification, or specialist skills
  • Relevant work experience

  • No criminal record or visa violations
  • Manager, executive, specialist, or professional role
  • COMPASS score of 40+ points (unless salary S$22,500+)

Financial Requirement

Minimum monthly salary: S$5,600 (~$4,100 USD) for general jobs; S$6,200 (~$4,560 USD) for finance jobs. Salary increases with age. S$6,000+ required to sponsor family members.
