About this Visa
This visa lets non-EU founders start and run a business in Slovenia. You need to invest at least €50,000 and show a real business plan. After getting this visa, you can stay in Slovenia, work in your company, and eventually become a permanent resident. The visa is different from tourist visas. It's a long-stay visa that leads to residence permits and eventually citizenship. Slovenia welcomes business founders from almost all countries (except those on the EU's banned visa list). This is a real, active visa program. It's not discontinued or replaced. The government updated it in 2025 to make it easier to apply.

- No Slovenian language requirement for initial visa (but A2-level required for permanent residence later)
