About this Visa
This visa allows you to move to Slovenia to live with a family member who is already a resident there. It serves as an entry ticket that lets you travel to Slovenia to collect your official residence permit. It is designed for spouses and minor children of foreigners who hold a valid Slovenian residence permit. Once you have the permit, you can live, work, and study in Slovenia just like a local resident. It is a key step toward becoming a permanent resident yourself. However, your family member (the "sponsor") usually must have lived in Slovenia for two years before you can apply.
Key Benefits
- Work or start a business immediately
- Send children to public schools for free
- Travel freely to other Schengen countries (90 days)
