About this Visa
The EU Blue Card is a work visa for highly skilled foreigners. It lets you live and work in Slovakia for 5 years if you have a university degree and a good job offer. It's easier than other work visas because you don't need a special license or complicated paperwork from your employer. You can work in any job that uses your skills, travel freely across Europe, and bring your spouse and children to live with you. After 12 months, you can also work in other EU countries without applying for a new visa.

Eligibility Criteria
- University degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) or IT manager/specialist
- Job offer paying at least 1.2 times Slovakia's average wage
- Health insurance coverage
- No criminal record
- Citizen of non-EU country
- Not an asylum seeker or temporary protection applicant
Financial Requirement
Your salary must be at least 1.2 times Slovakia's average wage (about $2,370 USD per month). If you graduated in the last 3 years, you only need the average wage (about $1,975 USD per month).
