About this Visa

This visa lets educated workers come to Slovakia for jobs. You apply in your home country before arriving. It allows you to work for a specific employer and live in Slovakia for up to one year. You need a real job offer to qualify. Slovakia wants to attract skilled people. The visa has different types: graduates seeking jobs, people with job offers, transferred workers, and drivers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • University degree required (or 3+ years university study)
  • Real job offer in Slovakia (or searching 90 days max)
  • No criminal record (any conviction = rejection)
  • Health insurance (€30,000 minimum)
  • Enough money (€56 per day for your stay)
  • Cannot already have another work/study residence permit
  • Cannot have any criminal conviction

Financial Requirement

Show at least €56 per day ($66 USD) in a bank account. For 1 year: €20,440 ($23,945 USD). This requirement drops to €26/day if your employer provides housing.
