About this Visa
This visa is for high school students (grades 9-12) who want to study in Taiwan for one year. It is designed for participants in official exchange programs like Rotary or AFS. You will live with a host family or in a dorm and attend a local Taiwanese high school. This visa makes you a legal resident for your stay. You get an ID card called an ARC. However, strict rules prevent you from working or bringing family members. Important: This visa has a very strict nationality rule. Generally, only students from 'Visa-Exempt' countries (like the US, UK, and Europe) can apply for high school exchange.
