About this Visa
This visa lets family members of foreigners live together in Thailand. It's for spouses, children, parents, and dependents of people working or living in Thailand—including those with diplomats. You can stay for up to a year and renew it each year. What you can do: Live in Thailand, travel in and out, receive family money from abroad. You cannot work unless you get a separate work permit. Current status: Active in December 2025. Thailand reorganized its visa system in August 2025, but this visa is still available and works the same way.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be spouse, child under 20, parent, or dependent of someone in Thailand
- Have 20,000-400,000 baht available
- Have a valid passport
- No leprosy, TB, drug addiction, or serious syphilis
- No serious criminal record
- Can prove family relationship
Financial Requirement
You must show you have: 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account, OR 40,000 baht per month income, OR 20,000-40,000 baht total depending on family size. Bank statements from the last 3 months are required.
