About this Visa

Thailand's retirement visa lets you legally live in Thailand if you're 50 or older. You choose between three options: 90 days, 1 year, or 5 years. You must prove you have savings or monthly income. You cannot work or earn money on this visa. You can travel freely inside Thailand. You can use hospitals and doctors. If you leave Thailand, you need a re-entry permit or your visa stops working. Your family can visit anytime but needs their own visas. The main benefit is staying legally for months or years without constant visa renewals or border runs.
