About this Visa

The Smart O visa lets your family stay in Thailand with you if you have a Smart S visa. Your spouse and children can live here for as long as you do. Only Smart S visa holders can sponsor family members for this visa now. The other Smart categories ended in February 2025. You get to stay in Thailand legally and can travel freely. Your family gets the same visa length as you.

Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have an active Smart S visa
  • Be married to the Smart S visa holder
  • Have children under 20 years old
  • Have no criminal record
  • Have no serious diseases (TB, leprosy, drug addiction)
  • Have valid health insurance coverage

Financial Requirement

Must have $5,679 USD in a Thai or foreign bank account for 3 months before applying. Employer/business must show 600,000 baht ($18,930) in savings.
