About this Visa

This visa lets you work and do business in Thailand. You need a Thai company to sponsor you. It's the main way foreigners legally work in Thailand. You can work for a Thai company, run a business, or invest. You can live in Thailand for as long as you keep renewing the visa. Your spouse and children can come with you. You can stay 1+ years (renewable). Path to permanent residency after 3 years. Path to Thai citizenship after 8 years. Family can get visas too.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have job offer from Thai company
  • No serious criminal record
  • Meet salary requirement for your nationality
  • Have 20,000-40,000 THB in bank
  • Pass background check if requested
  • Employer must be registered Thai company
  • Employer must have 4+ Thai employees per 1 foreign worker
  • Employer must have minimum 2 million THB capital
  • Cannot work unpaid or as freelancer
  • Cannot work in banned professions (military, police, judiciary)

Financial Requirement

Bank savings: 20,000-40,000 THB (~$635-1,270 USD). Monthly salary requirement varies by nationality: Western countries 50,000 THB (~$1,587 USD), Developed Asia 45,000 THB (~$1,429 USD), Other countries 35,000 THB (~$1,111 USD), ASEAN countries 25,000 THB (~$794 USD).
