About this Visa
This visa lets retirees (age 50+) live in Thailand for up to 10 years. You can stay for 5 years, then renew for another 5 years. It's designed for people who want to retire in Thailand permanently. The visa is still active (as of December 2025). Thailand changed its visa names in August 2025, but this visa still works the same way—nothing changed about the rules or benefits. You cannot work in Thailand on this visa. You must have significant savings or investment money. This is Thailand's longest retirement visa option.
