About this Visa

Taiwan's Entrepreneur Visa lets you start a business and live in Taiwan for 2 years. You need to invest NT$2 million (about $63,000 USD) or meet other business criteria. This visa is for startup founders, tech professionals with patents, creative professionals with awards, or people backed by investors. You don't need a job or business already set up—you can start one after you arrive. The big benefit: You can work for yourself, start your own company, and bring your family. You can also extend your stay and eventually get permanent residency or citizenship. This visa is different because you don't need to find a Taiwan employer. You're the boss. You control what business you start.
