About this Visa

The Skilled Worker visa allows you to live and work in the United Kingdom. You must have a confirmed job offer from a UK company that is licensed to hire you. It is the main path for international professionals to move to the UK. This visa lets you bring your partner and children with you. After five years, you can apply to live in the UK permanently (settlement). Since July 2025, it is harder to get because the salary and skill requirements are much higher.

Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have a valid job offer from a licensed UK sponsor
  • Job must be at Degree Level (RQF Level 6) or on TSL
  • Earn a salary of at least £41,700 per year
  • Speak, read, write, and understand English at a B1 level
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have enough money to support yourself without public funds
  • Have no serious criminal history
