About this Visa

The K-1 visa lets you come to the U.S. to marry an American citizen. You must marry within 90 days of arriving. After marriage, you can apply for a green card and eventually become a citizen. This visa is only for engaged couples where one person is a U.S. citizen. The American must sponsor you and prove they can afford to support you.
