The O-1 visa is for people with extraordinary talent or special achievements. You might be a top scientist, artist, athlete, business leader, or entrepreneur recognized nationally or internationally. This visa lets you work in the United States temporarily with your special skills. You can work full-time for a U.S. employer or company. You can travel in and out of the country freely. You can bring your spouse and children with you (though they cannot work). You can apply for a green card while keeping your O-1 status. This visa has no yearly cap or limit. You can extend it as many times as you want. It's different from H-1B visas, which have yearly quotas and caps.

- Must be healthy (no dangerous diseases)
- U.S. company or agent must sponsor you
