About this Visa
This visa lets foreign workers move to South Africa to work for a company. You get it when a South African employer wants to hire you. The government changed the rules in October 2024 to make it faster and easier. You can stay for up to 5 years while you work. The visa is still active and accepting applications as of December 2025. What you get: The right to work for one specific employer. Your family (spouse and kids) can come with you. You can travel in and out of South Africa freely.

Eligibility & Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Have a job offer from a South African employer
- Have education or qualifications (at least high school plus some college)
- Have at least 5 years of work experience (preferred)
- Score at least 100 points based on education, experience, salary, language skills
- Be 18 or older
- Have no criminal record
- Be physically healthy (medical exam required)
- Not be on South Africa's ban list for immigration violations
- Have enough money to support yourself
Financial Requirement
You need to show you can support yourself until you get your first paycheck. You also need a job offer with a salary that matches South African standards (usually at least R650,796 per year, or about USD 39,000).
